Matthew E. Kenyon

President / CEO

Matt is President and CEO of both Dana B. Kenyon Company and Kenyon Energy, LLC.  He has spent his entire professional career working in his family’s construction business since 1974 where he began as a construction laborer.  He was mentored by his Father and Grandparents and eventually took over company operations in 1997.

Matt is proud of his construction heritage which dates back to 1944 when his Grandparents started the company in Jacksonville Florida.  Each generation successfully grew and built the company in to what it is today.   Matt’s focus is providing leadership and vision in directing the companies’ growth and success strategies.  He believes in empowering his associates and partners in utilizing the complimentary strengths of those in the organization.

In 2008, Matt’s long time passion for renewable energy became a reality when he formed Kenyon Energy, LLC with his partner Clay Biddinger.  Clay and Matt have brought two complimentary strengths together to build a company capable of developing, constructing and owning solar electric plants that provide green power to the municipal markets.  The company is developing solar plants in multiple states throughout the country and has plans for significant growth over the next 5 years.  Matt’s vision is to become the leader in solar generation plants for the municipal market in the US.

Matt is a registered General Contractor, has a bachelor’s degree in construction from the University of North Florida, is a 23 year veteran pilot and is a certified Master Tree Farmer.
