Dana B. Kenyon Company Embracing Solar Energy

Dana B. Kenyon Company has become more aware of energy conservation systems and recognizes a need for corporate responsibility in sustainability and a desire to conduct their business in a more sustainable manner.

In an effort to offset the carbon footprint for its commercial building, Dana B. Kenyon Company installed a 26,000 watt solar electric “photovoltaic” system that produces approximately 40 million watt hours annually. It consists of 130 - 200 watt GE solar panels with five 5,000 watt Xantrex DC inverters and a performance monitoring system. This system is estimated to produce approximately 40,000 kilowatt hours per year, equaling 30% of total energy in the year 2009 and for the next 30 years.
